One morning I woke up and had this piano melody in my mind. I went to the piano and immediately started building upon it, keeping the original motif repeating as a mantra in the background. As the song started to come together I started having visions of the color palates that Maxfield Parrish used in some of his more famous works where the light of the golden hour sun brings out the purple, pink and bluish hues of the nature scenes he painted. I kept that visual close to me during the production of the piece and that’s where I hope the music takes you when you listen to it.
